We are located inside the Austin Proper Hotel in Downtown Austin. Guests enter through the main entrance of Austin Proper Hotel. You can find the restaurant at the end of the hallway behind the lobby and across from The Peacock Lounge. If you aren’t sure where to go, stop by the front desk and they’ll gladly assist you.

We offer discounted valet parking for restaurant guests at Austin Proper Hotel for $27 for up to 3 hours. Valet is located off of 2nd street at the main entrance of Austin Proper Hotel. 

An intimate omakase experience where Japanese kappo tradition meets French finesse. Our Chefs craft an evolving 11-course tasting menu inspired by seasonality, precision, and storytelling. The menu heavily features seafood and wagyu beef. Each course reflects the harmony of Japanese technique and French artistry, complemented by thoughtfully curated sake and wine pairings. 

Our omakase is priced at $195 per person. Taxes and a 20% service charge will also be added.

Yes. We offer curated sake and wine pairing options that can be added to your reservation in advance or upon arrival. We also have a thoughtful list of cocktails, Japanese beers, French wines, and sake to choose from a la cart.

We require a 48 hour notice for cancellation or rescheduling. Each reservation can be rescheduled up to two times. Please reach out to kappokappo.reservations@properhotel.com to change your reservation.

The experience lasts for 2 hours.

We have a 15 minute grace period. Due to the nature of the experience, no show reservations will be cancelled without refund after 30 minutes.

Kappo Kappo has 15 counter seats and 10 table seats. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday, offering an intimate omakase experience by reservation only. Tuesday through Thursday offers two seatings, while Friday and Saturday offers three seatings.

Yes, we do not allow children under 12 years old.

Our omakase experience is carefully crafted using seasonal Japanese and French ingredients and we are therefore unable to accommodate dietary restrictions or substitutions. Guests with dietary restrictions who have not familiarized themselves with the policies stated above remain subject to our cancellation policy.
